The method was originally developed for the violin in mid 20th century Japan. It has since expanded to include the other traditional orchestral strings (viola, cello, and bass), piano, voice, recorder, flute, and most recently, the trumpet. And, my favorite - the guitar. Suzuki Method is now taught all over the world; children who come from different cultures and speak different languages can meet and without a word, make music together. And that is just a little bit of magic.
